First, happy birthday to
evieeros!
Second, a day late but I finally managed to upload the second batch of pics from the other day's walk... have been lazy today and done about nothing whatsoever. It's nice to just laze around for a bit.

Icy sea. And a duck.

Snowy beach.

Some more ice, being eaten away by the sea.

Snowy rocks.

Insane fisherman on the river and a few seagulls nicely marking the border between ice and water.

Snowy pier.

Willow catkins, to my great surprise. First real sign of spring I've seen yet, and shockingly early.

Winter colours.

The Pirita river.
I seem to have a thing for diagonals. I wonder if it's because I like diagonals, or because I'd like a wider field of view... suspect it's a bit of both.

:P
Happy weekend.

Date: 13 March 2009 21:30 (UTC)I was a bit surprised by how much snow there was there. We've had temperatures steadily a bit above zero during the days for the last week or more, and there's a lot less snow left here by the roads/in trafficky areas.

Did you know that we call that "pussy willow"?

Date: 13 March 2009 22:02 (UTC)No, I didn't, but it's not very surprising. I think those furry little things have caused a connection to kittehs in quite a few languages.
