Have had a relatively busy Saturday morning - had coffee, cleaned up the kitchen a bit, scrubbed the walls where the cats sleep (and sneeze), and picked out a handful of pics from last Sunday's walk at Pirita, mainly in the convent ruins.

So here's the picspam before I have to start working.

All pics with the DSLR and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens - the first outing for that lens. As always with primes, the fixed focal length sets its limitations, but on the other hand, it's a rather nice "normal" length, so it's not quite as challenging as some others.

A lot of road building going on in the area, hence the dust.

The obligatory front shot of the convent (it's been in ruins since 1575).

And a side view.

The side passages are lovely.

Outside, with a view towards the river.

Side passages on the other side.

Lovely, but the dynamic range is trying for the camera... had to go on manual mode for a lot of these shots as P insisted on overexposing everything.

An old grave with lilies of the valley planted all over it.

Autumn.

Erm. No idea what that's supposed to be, apart from art.

More autumn.

And yet more autumn.

And the obligatory rust shot.

Right, time to work... mum seems to want to go out today too as it's lovely and sunny, so I ought to get at least a few dozen lines done before that.

Beautiful pictures, as always.

You should do a book sometime.

Thanks.

And hmm. Mum has done five books now, I think (in the hopes that some people might be interested, but, well). They're pretty to look at, I suppose, but I have no interest in something like that.
