Woke up at first around five this morning... took me a while to fall asleep again, but I think I managed a few more hours. Have been up since a bit past eight.
Tired, cranky (a bit of a headache - can't drink anything hot yet apparently, so no coffee), mouth tastes like something very distasteful (really wish I could brush my teeth properly again! instead of this very gentle brushing with water, which might have helped a little, but is still icky), but otherwise... well, things could be worse at this stage, I suppose. Slight tenderness still, but I wouldn't call it pain. And not bleeding today, yay.
Getting really sick of sweet stuff though, but we don't seem to have any good salty cold mushy things to eat.
Anyway, here are some more pics from last Saturday's Pärnu visit.

The Pärnu river.

Gate with shadows.

I loved the shape but the sky was totally blown in one corner, so I decided to be artistic. Umm.

Common butterbur.

A tree.

Pink.

Garden.

Greenery.

Approaching the beach.

Reed.

Getting closer to the beach.

The beach.

Birch.
Feels weird to have holidays. What to do with them? Should stay home for a few days, anyway, and find more mushy things to eat... can try and catch up on reading and the likes, I suppose. Would be awfully nice to get a visit from a plot bunny or two, but I'm not counting on it.

Date: 10 May 2008 13:02 (UTC)Don't forget to use tepid salty water as a mouthwash - I had to do this about five times a day after my wisdom tooth extraction.
Love the dunes, and the clouds over the beach.
May the plot bunny attack!

Date: 10 May 2008 13:08 (UTC)Yeah, I just made some salty water but waiting for it to cool down enough. Enough time should have passed now for gentle rinsing to be safe, I assume. (Of course, had I not been reading lots of "tooth extraction aftercare" pages on the net, I wouldn't even know about it. I did try to ask as much as I could about what to do, but it was difficult to talk much while having to bite down on a bunch of bloody gauze... and the dentist already had another patient waiting, so she didn't volunteer too much information either. Can't really blame her, for an Estonian she's already unusually chatty and friendly.)
I wish we had such nice dunes in Tallinn. The beaches here tend to be a bit flatter.
One can but hope.

Date: 10 May 2008 16:54 (UTC)Perhaps if we had some instant oatmeal things... hmm. Wonder if there's any in any nearby stores.
Right now the headache from lack of coffee is really the worst thing bothering me. Grrrrr.

Date: 11 May 2008 09:15 (UTC)I'm obviously glad there's been no real pain but I do wish the tenderness gave up already... it's getting annoying. And I really wish I could brush the area properly!

Date: 11 May 2008 09:32 (UTC)And it's not like I've been extremely conscientious about brushing teeth in general - just twice a day, no three times a day thing for me. And often just in the evening on weekends/days off/days when I don't leave home, when I don't have a proper routine to follow in the mornings...
I do think this is one case where having a wisdom tooth out is better, compared to a tooth somewhere in the middle of the row. Much easier to brush the remaining teeth when the new hole is right at the very end - less of a problem avoiding it while brushing the rest!

Date: 11 May 2008 15:56 (UTC)Still a little tender and a bit swollen. And it doesn't really help I'm almost paranoid about getting dry socket, heh. So it's mostly being stressed - hopefully for no good reason, at least.
