I think people at work have decided that I'll be better off dead. Or they'll be better off with me dead. Or something. I heard they're already letting people use my desk and computer, so maybe they want my workplace for someone else and have decided to, um, hint to me that I shouldn't return, and to make quite sure that won't happen, they're trying to kill me, too.

In other words, I got more work, yes... "15,000 words ASAP" to be exact... plus a few more things. ...yay? :-S

Have struggled all day with a file I got the other day... not that many words but it's all 1-2 word strings, which makes the file 12 MB large, which means that it's SLOOOOOOOOW. As in "type a word and then wait for three minutes for the letters to appear on the screen" kind of slow. Which isn't very motivating, to be honest. I think I'm getting to the end soon, but I'm just getting so fed up with it that I can't seem to make that last effort... pah.

Gah - sounds frustrating. *kicks file*

Are you ever going to get a rest? Speaking of which - will you have to work over the weekend as well?

I somehow managed to finish the file... gave up on the hope of doing a spell check on it though, as I need to copy and paste the stuff into Word for that, and after waiting for about 20 minutes after attempting to select the text (in which time the program stopped responding), I just figured that to hell with it. ;-) I don't generally make that many typos either (no more than 1-2 per 5000-6000 words anyway), so if there is any, hopefully the editor will find them.

And no, I've made up my mind that I won't do anything on the weekend, whether those 15,000 words are needed ASAP or not... well, "as soon as possible" will in this case have to mean the middle of next week. ;-) I might be going out tomorrow... planning to see Borat (with certain trepidation and worry, but mum declared she wanted to see it, so...) and I do think I need some fresh air after this week, too!

Fresh air sounds good in any case!

I'm not sure if I want to go to see Borat or not. I'm curious to some degree, but I fear that it might be too much for me - not really my kind of humor (at least not for a whole feature length film).

Yeah... I don't think it will really be my sort of film either. But I have to admit being curious about it... seems like one of those things one almost "has to" see just to see what all the fuss is about. Oh well, I expect I'll survive even if it's really bad (can it be worse than Cyberwoman, anyway?)

LOL. Point taken. And as far as I've seen Borat doesn't seem to have grown cyber-boobies.
