Freedom!!!!

kribuOne whole month of freedom, yippee! Survived today, and even managed to finish that horrid big thing I was at some point figuring I'll never get done.
So barring any small things I might be kind enough to agree to do at home, I won't need to worry about dying of work-related exhaustion for the next four weeks. (Which is a good thing as apparently we have some really big things ahead, starting in September, so there'll be plenty of chances to die then.)
Anyway, I decided that there is no way I'll want to see Order of the Phoenix after reading The Deathly Hallows, as it just won't be possible for me to evaluate the movie properly after knowing how the whole series will end... so I went ahead and bought tickets for next Friday (which is when it gets released here). They only went on sale today, so I still got fairly decent seats.
I've read enough comments and reviews about the movie now to be fairly certain I likely won't be entirely happy with it... but on the other hand, having fewer illusions about it should mean a better chance of enjoying what's actually there, such as cinematography and acting (one of the main reasons why I've always been quite fond of the HP movies - not so much because I necessarily consider them excellent adaptations of the books, but because they have so many really great actors in them, people whose performances I've always enjoyed, even if they get criminally little screen time) and any potential scenes that are actually true to the book. Provided there are some, anyway.
Now I just need to remember that I've got tickets for the 14:30 show on Friday... *adds a reminder to the Outlook calendar*
