*sneezes*

Just spent about an hour crawling around on all fours under mum's desk, untangling the awful mess of cables and reconnecting everything (and finding about five loose ones belonging to things we don't have any more) and removing a huge pile of dust while at it... I did try and not breathe too much, so I'm hoping it won't trigger a sneeze and cough fest. My poor knees are rather annoyed with me though.

On the plus side, mum now has a working computer and a new monitor - ordered it yesterday, arrived today. A lovely (I hope, it got good reviews) 22'' Dell 2009WA. It looks very sleek and shiny and all black. For some reason, it came with a wrong power cable (three-pronged; we only use two-pronged ones) but it seems that whatever the old monitor's fault was, it wasn't with its power cable, so we could just use that.

Tired now. If there's any configuring needed, it'll have to wait until tomorrow, together with whatever updates mum's computer needs after having been offline for a couple of weeks. Did about 6000+ words of work earlier, and also went out for a two hour walk by the river - found a surprisingly large amount of different spring flowers blooming, although they're hard to spot among all the old grey grass. Busy day!

It sounds as though you've been horrendously busy - but I'm glad you've managed to get out and about.

Reasonably busy, yes - fortunately most of the work went really fast. And I stayed home today for the monitor delivery, which helped save on the commuting time.

Really quite tired now though. But at least today I know there's reason for that!

Busy!Kribu! And those poor knees... *has dodgy ones, sympathises*

...I can't help but wonder what certain furry monsters thought of you crawling around.

The furry monsters were far too busy with trying to demolish the box the new monitor came in to pay any attention to me. ;-)

Knees, yes... considering how much I had to crouch and squat earlier today for taking flower pictures, they're definitely not very happy. And I managed to pull a muscle in my neck/shoulder, which was pretty ouch. *does not like getting old*

Wow. Sounds very busy. On the upside, new computer! They're often very pretty. :-)

Definitely busy!

No new computer, just a new monitor (which made the computer usable again). It's definitely pretty - if I didn't have a three month old shiny new 22'' monitor myself, I'd be envious. ;-)

Ah. Well, computer...monitor, they're all relative to a computer. (That's my excuse for not reading properly.) I'm envious. I want one. :-)

All it takes to get one is to have your old (not that old, but just out of warranty) monitor simply fail one day... ;-) (And to have someone buy it for you. I don't recommend being the one doing the buying. Two good 22'' monitors in three months has not been kind to my bank account.)

Yeah, I would think that two good 22" monitors in three months wouldn't be kind to your bank account...

Well, people-er, my family- like to my stuff, so we'll see. We shall see. :-)
