Just got back from the vet with Musti. Took longer than expected, as the vet figured it would make sense to remove the mammary gland tumour she had, too, as it had definitely taken a turn for the worse lately, and she was asleep for the blood test anyway.
Turned out it wasn't just one tumour but one large and three smaller growths. Eugh. Poor Musti. :-/ The surgery went well though, the vet said.
She's been waking up a bit already, but mostly asleep and in that post-narcosis very confused state.
Her ear's a lot worse than before, though. :-/ The tumour there has grown and has been leaking blood and pus and stuff lately... will definitely need to be operated, fairly soon. Not before she's better from today's operation though, so probably not for a few weeks yet (will only get the stitches taken out in two weeks).
Won't know about the blood test results until tomorrow. I do hope her diabetes hasn't got any worse at least.
Eh. Poor Musti. :-/ It does seem that anything she could possibly have, she does. At least I think/hope the bladder infection's better at last - well, will know after the blood test.
Should still go out again today to the post office and stuff... blegh. Tired. Not very cold today, -3°C or so, but very windy, which means extremely leaky eyes and nose outdoors.

Date: 16 January 2009 12:36 (UTC)Poor Musti - indeed it seems like when some cats get stuff they get EVERYTHING (had a cat like that once)...
I hope that both of you feel better soon!
*more hugs*

Date: 16 January 2009 12:40 (UTC)Yeah, exactly. And the moment one thing gets more or less sorted out, something else takes a turn for the worse, and so on. It's a bit discouraging. :-/
Her ear really worries me. Not much we can do about it though.
Ugh. Just remembered that I'll need to go out whether I feel like it or not, as we need stuff for cleaning her wound now.

Date: 16 January 2009 13:28 (UTC)The poor little thing is now in the waking-up-but-confused stage, and insists on climbing onto the sofa and wherever (or finding the dustiest corner under the table) ... not a good idea considering she's got a fresh stomach wound, but when she starts going, she goes. Blegh. Just spent 15 minutes trying to manoeuvre her onto a blanket on the sofa just to get her down from there without her deciding to fall off it on her own.
Just how does one explain to a confused cut-up kitty that she's really not to climb around right now?

Date: 16 January 2009 17:41 (UTC)When I had my cat back from the same kind of surgery I had to block all the spaces under the furniture, because she wanted to crawl under and stay there. After that, she tried to climb - I ended up holding her in my arms almost without interruption for two days.
*hugs*

Date: 16 January 2009 18:04 (UTC)Have now bought two brand new soft comfy kitty bed / nest things, in the hopes that she might prefer those to climbing around randomly at night.
