A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to
ubiquirk!!
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
I hope it's a wonderful day for you!
Am contemplating whether to go to work or not today. Had fever flare up again yesterday and not feeling terribly well right now, but on the other hand, no fever or anything else, just tired. And I don't have the particular version of the program I need at home. So I'll probably go in. Gah.
Summer's over for good it seems, has been rather cold the last few weeks now – 12-13°C and rainy. Yesterday was odd, with the occasional sunshine during really strong rain. And I got properly soaked on my way to work (had I known it would start raining, I'd have got off at the more proper stop, but it only started when I'd already got off the bus at my usual stop, so the 15 minutes of walking was more than enough for a thorough shower).
Left arm/hand still hurts, no less than on Sunday. Knees are a bit better though.
Haven't written a single word (of fiction) since Sunday – far too dead after work. Annoying. I hope I can make a start on that more challenging prompt tomorrow, as it's the one I'd really want to write. At least there's still time!

Date: 29 August 2008 17:07 (UTC)I know. :-/ Has been the case ever since I remember - even as a child, I was ill a lot. Doesn't help that I start feeling entirely awful with a very low fever already.
And I can't remember the last time no part of me hurt. Might have been when I was a teenager. There's always something - it's this stupid migratory sort of ache, moving around, never staying in one place for too long and almost never having any discernible reason. Headaches, muscle aches, joint aches, skin getting ultrasensitive randomly... gah. Sucks to be me. ;-)
I suspect I just have an extremely low tolerance level for stress or something, so it doesn't take much for it to make itself known in some way.
do you like French chocolate?
I've been eating my way through the bagful of stuff I got at the airport "taxfree" store... still have some left. So far, so good! Doesn't seem to have any effect on making me feel less crap physically though. :-|

Date: 29 August 2008 17:11 (UTC)Hee! I needed something to put in there when I first signed up at LJ and the first thing that came to mind was the first thing the Third Doctor (of Doctor Who) said - "Shoes. Where are my shoes?"
