Am feeling better today - tooth pain was all gone in the morning, the sun was shining, it was pretty. (Tooth is still sensitive now though - has started making me notice it again in the evening, but at a minor annoyance level, not agonising pain.)

Caught an earlier bus today, and as I had the Fuji with me, and as the weather was gloriously sunny, got off at Lauluväljak to take some pics of the sea before catching the next bus onwards to town. Weather was... well, sunny, yes, but also slightly cold due to the massive wind that I wasn't quite expecting. Ah well, it was really very, very pretty. And the last few nights have been cold enough again to even have a tiny bit of ice on the shore.

Was fooling around with the Fuji the other day - took a picture of my screensaver that happened to be a 2005 picture of Musti.

Musti found the tinfoil ball again yesterday. Although she had to take a break to clean herself.

Fun! She's so round that she really just rolls around like a little ball herself when playing. As one can see.

The sea this morning. The sun certainly made the colours intense! I love the sea when it's so wonderfully blue. The greenish areas are sort of ... an ice soup.

A couple of ice close-ups. I had NO idea what I was taking a picture of as the LCD was pretty impossible to see in the sun.

It was quite windy, yes!

The rest of the day was suckier, although I got quite a bit of work done (not that it matters, with time-based rates...). Of course, now I'm feeling a bit cold. Perhaps tea would be in order... *toddles off to the kitchen*

Bwahahahahaa! Ahem. Catball!Musti was just too funny.

Glad your tooth is far less painful. Hopefully it will either stay that way or improve further.

Icy sea looks stark and beautiful... and sooo cold. Brrr!

Musti could really use a bit of dieting... the problem is that when we try to give her a bit less food, she just goes and eats the others' food instead.

I'm hoping so too. It's currently mildly annoying but occasionally I don't even notice.

We haven't had the sea freeze properly at all this winter. It's so weird to have it still open in February! So I had to use this chance, even if there wasn't much ice. It was absolutely gorgeous though (but I'm glad the next bus came only 15 minutes later - it was so very windy!).

Wow, those colors are intense! And the ice soup is really interesting!

Gosh! You almost make me want to come to Estonia in the winter. Of course, getting there for the rare good day would be tricky, wouldn't it? :D

The sea is always really blue there on sunny days. I love the contrast with the white and the green though - it's really beautiful.

This winter, at least... some years we've had much lovelier winters, with more snow and ice and sunshine. This year it would have taken a lot of luck to catch the right time!

I had no idea that the ice made the sea green!

I guess it changes the way the light falls - and also sea ice isn't completely white itself anyway. The sea itself can sometimes also look green like that, on overcast/semi-sunny days.

I'm glad too.

Love that last picture of the ice and water.

Glad your tooth is feeling better. I detest going to the dentist.

Thanks!

I'm glad too. I am really not fond of going to the dentist, which is something I'm now paying for. But I'd still rather stick to the scheduled appointments, especially as the next one is on Monday already, and not go there unprepared.

I learned the hard way in not going to the dentist regularly. I had to have root canal between 34-38 weeks pregnant so I could not even have the good stuff to numb my tooth.

Ack. That must have been fun... :-S

I'm having a root canal, most likely, on Monday. Hopefully not too bad... I've had a few done some 14-15 years ago, and I don't recall it being awfully bad then (mostly remember the cramping after having to hold my mouth wide open for an hour! but this time the problem teeth aren't so far back so it should be easier). It's probably going to be a bit sore afterwards though.

And then there will be more work done in April. *sighs*

Still? Argh! I mean, at least it's down to minor annoyance, but still, hasn't this been plaguing you for weeks now?

Musti is so adorable!

And what gorgeous sea pics, particularly the ice soup and ice closeups. For not being able to see the LCD, you got some great detail there.

No, this particular tooth has only been a problem since it was cut open yesterday. I've been going to the dentist for weeks now though, so it's been a different problem each week! :-D Although none as bad as this one, mostly just normal post-dental work soreness. And there's still a lot of work there to be done...

Musti is so adorable!

She is, isn't she? A total little fat ball of fur. She reminds me of a small bear sometimes.

The sea pics came out well, yes. Was quite glad about that - not only couldn't I see the LCD properly (one reason why I love my DSLR - with a good optical viewfinder, no need to worry about seeing the LCD; but of course it's not exactly something to stick in your pocket when going to work) but the wind made it very hard to hold the camera straight (another reason why a DSLR is better... no holding a tiny little thing in outstretched hands).

I was surprised I got the horizon somewhat straight on most pics, as I really had to struggle with that. It's a bit of a pity the sea is so shallow there - the waves never get mighty enough to show the force of the wind!

Oh! I missed that part somehow. Sorry.

Er, at least there's variety? But damn, that's miserable. :-(

And there's still a lot of work there to be done...

Sorry to hear that. I hope that at least once it's done you'll be pain free for awhile.

I would imagine so!

Very true!

I missed that part somehow. Sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about! It's getting a bit confusing even for me. ;-) Really though, it's only this one that has really been bad - the previous one just had general soreness from all the irritation.

I hope that at least once it's done you'll be pain free for awhile.

I'd certainly hope so too... especially as I hadn't had any pain for years until now, when it's been directly related to the work done by the dentist. The teeth existed happily, if brokenly, in a pain-free environment... still, I do know they're better off fixed. Even if it causes short-term pain during the process.

It's odd how shallow the sea is around here. At that particular point it's not even so bad but at the main beach, you pretty much have to walk 150 m into the water to get in neck deep. And it tends to be similar at most beaches here.

I hope your tooth loses the sensitivity soon!

Great pics - the ice and ocean ones are interesting and beautiful. Musti is adorable!

Thanks, I hope so too. It's better again this morning, but it was the same yesterday - just fine in the morning, picking up the pain towards the evening.

I'm glad I took the time for the pics yesterday - it's snowing today. Who knows when we'll have another lovely sunny day like we did yesterday!

Musti really is the cutest ball of a cat I've ever seen. I'm so glad she's become more playful again.

I always love your pictures. I live right in the middle of the U.S., and all my family is here, and I don't speak any other language, and there is still so much of the U.S. to explore that I've never been out of this country.

I feel like I travel through my friends like you who take wonderful pictures of things like frozen seas and fascinating buildings halfway across the globe. Never feel like you are taking too many pictures. I love it!

No wonder! The US is huge - I mean, it's half a continent. I've never been out of Europe either, which really is sort of comparable, when one thinks about it, even though I've been to a few dozen countries.

I'm glad you're enjoying my pictures! I love taking them (um, I suppose people might have noticed that!) so it makes me quite happy if other people like them, too.
