One of my husband's friends had a couple of cats for several years. Shear Khah was the eldest and was somewhere around 23 or 24 when she died. She was about 14 or 15 when cat 2, Oreo, joined the family as a 'kitten' about a year or so old at the time. Khah was the matriarch. She beat up Oreo when Oreo misbehaved. She took care of Scott, her owner/pet. She was the queen of the castle. When Khah died, Oreo was 8-10, not sure exactly how old, but Oreo switched immediately from being the rebellious teenager to queen. Shortly before that, Scott and his wife added another cat, Galinthia, who shifted from 'cute kitten' to teenager of the household upon Khah's death.
Is it possible that Patsu is simply being the teenager b/c she knows she's not the 'queen' cat and only a princess in waiting?
