Why did I have to fool around with my installed programs list, find that I have two versions of the same translation tool installed and decide to uninstall the older one when the newer one was open? I'm a bloody idiot, really... of course this managed to fuck up the installation of the newer one too. Fortunately I still sort of remembered where I kept the installer of the newer version, and after a few restarts plus having to redo the last few hours' work (thankfully it was still all in the translation memory, so it was just a matter of retrieving it and not actually starting from scratch, but it was still annoying) I seem to be back in business, woo.

Which means I might actually manage to finish that 20,000 words today that I got yesterday... yes, I know, it's really a week's workload, but does anyone care? ;-) As I've got another 10,000 already waiting, plus several more jobs... on the plus side, this seems to mean they don't want to see me in the office this week (probably wouldn't dare to face me when giving me so much work ;-)) at all. And I think I'm expected to get done with that new work by tomorrow, so I can be given even more work... yippee? :-S

And why do kitties think that since I'm at home, it obviously means I don't have anything to do and insist on sleeping on me, sleeping on the desk, sleeping on the keyboard, climbing around all over me, purr into my ear, push claws into my shoulders, stand between the keyboard and the monitor, etc, etc?
