None of the antivirus programs that want money from me has ever worked properly. They all tend to just want to take over everything and slow everything down. So while I've generally got a year's subscription to something like BitDefender or Norton or Kaspersky with a new computer, I've always ended up getting rid of it in favour of something else (mostly AVG) very quickly.
If it helps, I'll need to work again tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after, and... you get the point. ;-)
